The dam has an incredible effect on the human body. It involves 80-95% of muscles (of which 60% load on the legs and 40% on the arms), burns more calories than other aerobic training (up to 800 kcal / h) and at the same time, due to the absence of impact load does not harm the joints of the legs and back. However, not all rowing machines are equally capable of reproducing this effect.
WaterRower has been manufacturing rowing machines in Warren, Rhode Island (USA) for over 28 years. Each stage of production is controlled manually, which ensures exceptional reliability and unsurpassed quality. During its history, WaterRower has won many awards (including the Plus X Award) and has been exhibited in London's Design Museum and New York Museum as an example of design excellence.
Silent operation of the patented flywheel, the use of a sling instead of a chain, a wooden frame that absorbs noise and vibration — all this together makes the WaterRower the quietest rowing machine in the world. While training on the WaterRower, you only hear the sound of flowing water.
The wood was chosen because of its excellent design properties, incredible durability, strength and resistance to loads. It is impervious to moisture and sweat, which are common in environments where physical training is often carried out, and it is also excellent at absorbing sound and vibration. The WaterRower company uses only the best types of wood to manufacture its simulators. The production uses proven wood of the highest quality, which is taken from the filling forests of the Appalachians in the east of the USA. Each simulator is hand-finished with Danish oil, thanks to which the wood acquires a deep shine and warmth.
Water resistance, unlike other types of resistance, most accurately simulates a real dam. The heart of the WaterRower simulator is the WaterFlywheel system — an unparalleled technological solution, patented more than 28 years ago.
The tank is made of polycarbonate, one of the strongest and most affordable materials used in bulletproof, aviation windshields. The light and strong sling is made of high-strength polyester. The design of the handle repeats the natural grip, minimizing the torque in the wrists — a common cause of joint disease. The special soft coating of the handle does not rub the palms and provides a reliable grip. The contoured seat has an ergonomic design, its smooth sliding is provided by eight urethane wheels. The center of gravity is shifted down, which makes the exercise machine incredibly stable and allows you to easily place the exercise machine vertically or move it on wheels. When stored in an upright position, the WaterRower takes up the space of a regular chair.
